The Sky is the limit, literally! July 2011 News!
It is the busy summer season and the travel industry is going strong! The travel industry set an all time record in 2010 for foreign visitors and 2011 is starting even stronger. The Federal Aviation Administration recently reported airline passenger traffic to increase by 2.8% through 2031! The Travel Academy is contacted by airlines continuously. We currently have at least 29 airlines hiring flight attendants, many more hiring reservations and ticket agents along with numerous other positions. We recently have been contacted again by American Express Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, AAA Travel and numerous independent travel agency organizations to interview and hire our students. If your dream is to work on a cruise line, Norwegian Cruise Line recently hired 9 students to work on their ship sailing the Hawaiian Islands and plan to continually interview and hire more. Is working for a hotel more your style? We are regularly contacted by Hilton and Marquette Hotels along with numerous other properties to hire our students!

The Travel Academy Experience...
* Constantin K, Maryland was recently offered positions with Norwegian Cruise Lines and Mesa Air Group, a Delta Regional Airline. He accepted a position with Mesa Air Group as a flight attendant. Mesa Air Group plans to take their next trip to The Travel Academy this summer and fall to interview students for flight attendant positions. These interviews are exclusively for current students and graduates. Hayde G, California recently accepted a position as a flight attendant as well!
* Ejay, Arizona, a recent graduate was hired at Omni International as a flight attendant. Omni international is the largest charter airline in the world. They fly sports teams, the military, and private charter groups around the world. Jennie D, Maine another recent graduate was also hired as a flight attendant.
*Go Next, another rapidly growing travel agency contacted The Travel Academy to fill their travel agent openings in early July! They are located in Eden Prairie, MN and will be scheduling interviews with our students!
*Two of the largest Travel Agency organizations in the world American Express Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel will be hiring this fall and winter! The Travel Academy students will be given exclusive interviews and tours of their facility.
* Bethany N, Minnesota was recently hired with Cirque Du Solei in ticketing.Bethany is now off to Chicago where Cirque Du Solei continues their tour!
* Piedmont Airlines- US Airways Express plans to hire Flight Attendants from The Travel Academy again this fall! The Corporate Recruiter for Piedmont Airlines recently stated, "I always like to hire The Travel Academy grads!".One of our graduates Alexandra H already has an interview lined up!
* Recent graduate Chris M. accepted a position also on Norwegian Cruise Lines in utility. Chris plans to move into a security position on NCL in the near future! NCL works directly with The Travel Academy to hire graduates for shipboard positions. Seika A, a recently graduate born in Japan currently living in Nebraska recently accepted a position as a Jr. Waiter!
*Faelynn H. Ohio, currently a flight attendant with Pinnacle Airlines recently interviewed and accepted an international flight attendant position with Emirates Airlines and will be flying out of Dubai starting in August. From a small town farm girl to the big city of Dubai! Faelynn is a great example of our lifetime placement assistant! Faelynn started working at Midwest Express while attending The Travel Academy. She then interviewed for Pinnacle Airlines and was hired for a flight attendant position. Faelynn chose to advance her career further by interviewing with Emirates during one of the open interview sessions at The Travel Academy.
* International travel consolidator, Centrav, recently spoke to our students about the many openings as international travel agents. Melissa W., Iowa, a recent graduate was hired and others are still interviewing!
*American Express Corporate Travel has recently contacted The Travel Academy to hire graduates for their openings in Bloomington, MN, Georgia, and Florida.
*The Travel Academy was recently contacted by Sun Country Airlines, looking to hire reservation agents and flight attendants.
* The Marquette and Hilton Hotels contact The Travel Academy on a monthly basis asking to have their jobs added to our private job hotline. Some positions include front desk customer service, night audit, shuttle driver, and house keeping. Other great opportunities are on our Job Hotline. Once a student at the Travel Academy, you will receive access and lifetime placement assistance!
*Brandi C from New York, a recent graduate was hired with Atlantic Southeast Airlines-Delta Regional Airline (ASA) as a flight attendant. ASA continues to fly The Travel Academy students to Atlanta for flight attendant interviews.
*Compass- A Delta Regional Airline is scheduled to have recruiters speak at all our classes to answer questions about flight attendant positions and provide interview assistance. Compass- Delta Regional Airline hires employees at the age of 18 and you can be as tall as 6'4.
* There is no maximum age to train and become hired as a flight attendant. The Travel Academy has graduated students starting at 18 years of age and into their 60's. .
* The Travel Academy offers lifetime job placement assistance and permanent access to our private Job Hotline. Many companies contact us directly looking for graduates to hire*
