Student Housing
The Travel Academy is located 4 to 5 blocks from the Mall of America.
We rent 2 bedroom apartments located about one block from the Mall and 5 blocks from our facility.
- These apartments are completely furnished including:
- Full kitchens with dishes.
- Dining rooms and living rooms with basic cable TV.
- Some apartments can house up to 5 students.
- The 2 bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds in each bedroom or 2 single beds + 1 full in one bedroon and 2 single beds in the second bedroom
- Beds include pillows and linens.
- The bathroom has a separate dressing area, making it easier to get ready for class.
- It is a first come- first serve basis in choosing your bed.
How much is rent and what does rent include?
$150.00 With yourself and 1 additional roomate (2 people total)
$100.00 With yourself and 2 additional roomates (3 people total)
$75.00 With yourself and 3 or more additional roomates
(4 or more people total)
How far is the student housing located from the school and surrounding entertainment?
The Travel Academy is located approximately a mile and a half from the student housing. Local transportation is available to and from school. Student housing is located approximately 5 blocks from the Mall of America.
*You may prepay rent. If you prepay rent, you will only need to pay $100.00 per week. Note: If you have yourself and 3 or more additional roomates and prepaid your rent, you will receive a $25.00 weekly credit.*
*Prices subject to change if student numbers change in your apartment at anytime.*
*$250.00 refundable security deposit required one month before classes. The deposit will be refunded to you if you leave the apartment in move-in clean condition.*
The Travel Academy will do all we can to meet your accommodation requests but cannot guarantee the number of students in each apartment at any time, however if you prepay your rent you will not pay more than $100/week. All roommates will be of the same sex if requested. Our students have found that having a roommate has been enjoyable and helpful.
Walmart, Target, and other grocery stores can be reached from local transportation. You can catch all major bus routes from the Mall of America.

How are student arrivals coordinated for those staying in student housing?
The housing manager will contact you approximately two weeks before your scheduled class begins to schedule your arrival time via phone and email. If you arrive outside your scheduled arrival time, you are responsible for finding transportation and housing accomodations until new arrangements with the housing manager has been made.
If you are driving, you will be required to have a parking pass in order to park at the student housing complex. A staff member will meet you at the apartments (during your scheduled time only) to assist with move-ins.
If you are flying in, a staff member will meet you at the airport outside of baggage claim (during your scheduled time only) to assist with housing move-ins.
If for some reason you miss a flight, your car breaks down, and new arrangements must be made, you must contact the housing manager to make new arrangements.

Note: In order to enroll and hold your spot in class, you must submit the $200 application & enrollment fee when enrolling in any program.
Apartments rent by the week and includes all utiltities. You are responsibile for food, laundry, cleaning supplies, and maintainence supplies such as light bulbs. Laundry is approximately $1.75 to wash and $1.75 to dry.
