Virtual Learning Terms and Conditions
We want your virtual classroom training to be the best for you. Please plan to have a place in your home or office where no one can interrupt your classroom experience. Plan your day around your training so that voices from children, family, ringing phones or business matters don't cause you to lose focus or disrupt the instructor or other online students sharing this great experience with you.
· You will dial a conference bridge 15 minutes prior to class, your instructor will provide you with a conference number and access code. This ensures that your online experience is as trouble free as possible. Please see *Notes below if you plan to use a cell phone for your course.
· You must have your computer on and logged in at least 30 minutes prior to class. You will need to follow the instructions given to you by our IT staff and instructors to be ready when class begins.
· Have your daily materials printed and available. Don't let an unorganized day frustrate your efforts to focus on your studies. Our staff relies on having the correct information.
· Please remember, do not change your computer password before or during your classes. We want to keep your training as issue free as possible.
Your training experience depends on your "focus." Make it a great and rewarding experience you'll always remember. Now, Get ready and "Make your dreams happen" - Virtually!
Please read the following in detail:
· There is a "One Time NON-REFUNDABLE $300.00 fee, per computer to have your computer setup for Virtual ON Line Training. (This fee covers the installation of specialized software for video training, Worldspan software, special web site software and virtual computer service during your training.)
· You also agree to allow The Travel Academy's Computer Specialists to install the necessary software to communicate with the servers and allow The Travel Academy's Instructor or Computer Specialists to control your computer during class or when necessary, to assist you in your travel training computer skills.
· In addition, you must agree to allow The Travel Academy Computer Specialists to evaluate the installed software that may interfere with your training and, with your agreement, remove it from your computer. You will need Administrator access level to the computer(s) you are use for your training.
· *Notes If you plan to use a cell phone to connect to the Conference Bridge you must meet the following requirements
· Your cell phone contract must be with one of the following providers. Sprint, Nextel, T- Mobile or AT&T. Due to dropped calls and issues with voice quality no other providers are permitted. We prefer you use a Land Line Telephone (Not Cable, digital, Vonage or Magic Jack as the voice quality and connections are not solid). If you have a DSL internet connection, in most areas, you can add a Land Line telephone number to your service a very low cost.
· You must, due to minutes you will be using, have a unlimited long distance minutes plan.
· You must have a plug-in headset and microphone combination. Bluetooth wireless headsets, if permitted by our IT staff, must be of a high voice quality.
Disclaimer:
Internet connections to The Travel Academy's servers depend on varying factors beyond the control of The Travel Academy. These may include but are not limited to: available bandwidth, Internet interruptions caused by Internet carriers, or third parties, natural disasters, (sometimes referred to as acts of God), the overall condition of your computer, computer programs that may interfere with the software that we install on your computer to assist you in training, user error, equipment failures, Malware, Virus, Spam, or Pishing Attacks, Illegal activities or acts of war.
In the event any of the above occurs, the sole responsibility of The Travel Academy will be to re-schedule, and or attempt to make up the missed days. If this is not possible the Travel Academy will refund the student according to the laws governing private schools in effect at the time of incident, in the State of Minnesota and the policy stated in your signed Enrollment Agreement.
